Denim is a rugged cotton twill textile, in which the weft passes under two or more warp fibers. This produces the familiar diagonal ribbing identifiable on the reverse of the fabric, which distinguishes denim from cotton duck. Denims has been in American usage since the late 18th century.
Denims is no longer a cottononly product, denims come with either polyamide, lycra, polypropylene or with polyester and a special bonding with a 100% nylon net for a more active look. Most denims is washed after being crafted into an article of clothing in order to make it softer and to eliminate any shrinkage which could cause an item to not fit after the owner washes it. In addition to being washed, non-dry denim is sometimes artificially "distressed" to achieve a worn-in look.
Denim is exclusively worn as a casual wear. Denim comes various washes such as classic-ink wash, stone wash, ice-wash etc. Apparel made out of denim are denim jeans and denim jackets for both men & ladies and specially for womens denim skirts & denim ladies wear are avaliable. Denim for kids also have a host of good wear like denim pants and denim shorts.
